A beautiful handcarved jadeite pendant from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This artisticpiece is particularly large in size and is comprised ofa vivid green jadeitestone that hangs from a 14kt goldsplit bail. The translucent green jade has the carved image of a leaping horse in the center, surrounded by a decorative swirled design that reflects the pendant's Chinese origin. There are three near colorless round brilliantdiamonds set within the bail, adding a lovelysparkle to the piece. Accompanying the pendant is a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Gemological Jade Report issued in March 2015, which indicates the jadeite treatment as dyed and polymer impregnated. The pendant has a wonderful and unusual design and would make a perfect everyday addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 7/8" long, is 1 1/8" at the widest point, and approximately3/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the large jadeitestone or to the gold bail, and all of the diamondsare intact.
