An exquisite wedding band from the Georgian(ca1810) era! This gorgeous ring is crafted in 18k yellow gold, and features a thick stripe of black enamel. The enamel is adorned with a personalized engraving which reads: "ANN SYKES OB: 27 - MAR: 1809 A.E. 69". The band also features a small four-pointed motif, which further adds to the unique appeal of the piece. The bottom and top of the band feature a thin three-dimensional ribbed design. The inside of the band features two illegible maker's marks, a small lion, and the letter "z". A wonderful example of Georgian-era craftsmanship, this wedding band would make a lovely addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements:The ring has a finger size 7.75,but could easily be re-sized. The band measures approximately 6.38mm.
Condition:The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting orthe enamel work.
